BUSAN 2015 #4 GAMCHEON CULTURE VILLAGE 

Mural village in Busan, entire photo zone 

In Korea, there are a few famous Mural Village which was very backward reign and gained fame thanks to art mural projects. Here in Busan, Gamcheon Culture Village is the representative example. Village art project conducted in 2009 and 2010 transformed this rural area little by little. The little alley and streets at the area were cleaned and reorganized as well. Unique and pretty cafes, stores and handicraft workshops started to open at this area and they made synergy effect along with the mural all over the village. Entire village became photo zone. 

 

It seemed always crowded with lots of people here. Especially with nice weather. 

We got hungry, walking around and taking pictures. So we stopped by Ssiat Hotteok place. Ssiat Hotteok is one of the most famous food in Busan, which is sweet Korean pancake stuffed with seeds i mean, nuts. It was really delicious and perfect snack. 

There is the most popular photo zone, little prince with the fox zone. Lots of people were waiting in line to take a photo with the status. It was too long so i just skipped. 

This is the must have photo zone. 

We tried several photos as well. But couldnt take enough time to stage scene that i wanted due to lots of people on the holiday. Maybe next time ;))

We got hungry again so tried other thing this time. We spotted this skewered octopus places a lot so we got curious. We ordered one with spicy sauce. It was delicious but very chewy as you can imagine. I felt its very similar to Japanese Takoyaki without outside dough. 

I liked the words "A day without laughter is a day wasted" especially when i was quite exhausted. 

 

If you like taking pictures and walking around, this place might be good choice. Also i spotted many nice little restaurants and cafes here. Good place to have relaxing day, having little fun.
