Jeju#2 galchi jorim

Deokseungsikdang 덕승식당
Galchi jorim place, which is braised cutlassfish.

As an island, Jeju is very well known for seafood. One of the most famous seafood dishes is the braised cutlassfish. But the more popular jeju island gets as a travelling site, the more expensive price of everything in jeju island gets. So sad...
So as braised cutlassfish price. Luckily my sister found this small restaurant, which has very affordable price and nice flavor!

Their menu
it's very simple and food seemed almost ready
the basic setting side dishes
stir-fried anchovy, bean sprout, kimchi, pickled radish and onion
This is it! Very korean style. We cook fish like this a lot. the radish at the bottom makes taste deeper.

love it. i don't like fish because of the sticky fish smell, which makes me throw up. I hate my weak stomach. but real good fresh fish and very proper recipe saves me like here! i wished i could have had bigger stomach so that i could eat more. haha

raw fish mixed rice. ah... this is very popular menu, but raw fish is not my type...
My sister who is also not good at eating fish, liked it.

There are really many restaurants that serve Galchi-jorim in Jeju island. i think most of them are good, so only matters is the price and location i think. you should try it!
