Surviving at crazy cold winter in Korea

SURVIVING AT THE COLD WINTER IN KOREA

One of the most terrifying things in the world to me, is natural disaster. I also feel very small and helpless in front of the nature. And everytime i watch news on television about sad natural disaster news such as flood, drought, earthquake, tsunami and so on, i am frightened, thinking there is nothing human being can do about it. Lets be honest. Humans are acting like god but truly there is nothing we can do. These days, i am quite worried about it since we can sense climate change in daily life. Korea has beautiful four seasons but now i feel like there are only summer and winter. Weather is getting extreme. Since i moved to new house, i have been feeling that... My room has strong draught! I couldnt deal with it anymore so tried to find to block it and stay warm.

Websurfing gave me three solutions. 뽁뽁이 Bbokbboki which is bubble wrap, 문풍지 Moonpunggi which is weather strip and 난방텐트 Nanbang tent which is heating tent. After three days of waking up in the very early in the morning due to the cold wind, i went straight to the market and bought them.

This is weather strip.
My room has small empty room for fire escape. Due to the purpose of the room, it is not 100% blocked. This is the source of cold draught. I bought 1+1 promotion product just in case i need more. But i should have bought thinner one.. I glued three sides so passionately lol so couldnt close the door lol. Crazy!

This is bubble wrap.
This is a huge boom since a couple of years ago. Somebody found out it is really helpful for heating by blocking draught from the windows. So at first demand was huge but supply was not enough. Price went crazy high but next year everyone jumped into this business so it is settled down now.

First, you need to wipe down the window with dry towel. And then spray water on the window evenly and then put bubble wrap. Actually you dont need to glue it but i put scatch tape just to make sure it is sticked to the window until the winter ends.

It really helps to reduce cold draught from the window. One bubble wrap that i bought is enough to cover one side of the window in my room. It costs about 4 bucks.

Also my friends recommended heating tent which has been famous since last year. I saw it at my friend's house in person as well. Ddasumi is one of the most famous heating tent brand. Also well known for the cost effectiveness.
Considering my room concept and blanket color, lol i bought this light pink. Acutally i wanted to buy gray one but it was double price.. And light green looks a bit cold. I am quite satisfied with the color! Even though i dont like pink haha.

I bought the tent without floor side to put it on the bed. Many reviews told me its more convenient. the assembling was quite easy. but my mistake was... i should have done it in my room lol because it couldn't get through the door...

i put it on the top of my bed and changed my blanket and pillow to match color. This gives interior point to my room. i saw people put some interior pieces like garland. i need to buy some too! and many people who have kids and babies use this heating tent a lot. with this, they give some effect to separate space due to the purpose as well as interior effect.

you'd better wash the tent first since it smells like new product. it is really effectual! i can see the tent shaking due to the draught. i spent 25 dollars on this with promotion sale. definitely worth spending!!! but... there is very heavy side effect... you cannot get out of the heating tent in the morning... you don't want... so... mind that...

Well, it is sad that we need this many stuff to stay warm. but trying diverse things in the way that don't hurt nature much is good thing, i think. at least, there "are" some options we can try. i wonder how to stay warm in other countries. especially Russia and Alaska!
