GYEONGBOKGUNG Palace at night view

경복궁 Gyeongbokgung Palace

I want to introduce Korean traditional royal palace located in Jongno. It is 경복궁 Gyeonbokgung. It was founded at Joseon Dynasty in 1395 and still stands firm. Seoul city has been capital city of Korea for years and years. So if you travel seoul city in Korea, you can meet old days and new days of Korea a lot at the same time. and i personally think, you should see the history of the place if you travel a new place. in that point of view, Gyeongbokgung is the perfect place to visit. To the westerners, it will be very different.
You can easily get there by public transportation. You can get off at Gyeongbokgung station at line no. 3 or Gwanghwamun station at line no. 5. on the subway.

this is palace walls and main gate to the palace, which is called Gwanghwamun. There are some special ceremonies. So if you are planning to visit here, check out the schedule first. :))

Many people were waiting to get in. This place is always crazy traffic jam source.
A few years ago, Gyeonbokgung tried special night opening for specific period. It was really successful! People wanted this to be continued. And it spreads to the other royal palaces. It gets really popular and always the competition for tickets is fierce.

Once you walk through this gate, you get to the front yard. Here is the ticket booth. Its too cheap i think. They have various discount benefits as well.

My sister had been here at night opening and became huge fan of it. So this year, she jumped into the competition and got the tickets! And gave me as well. So i had chance to visit Gyeongbokgung night opening! ♥︎

The Gwanghwamun from the inside. i love the Korean beauty of the eaves.
The tickets :))
Luckily my workplace is close to Gyeongbokgung, so after work i met up with my friend and had dinner at Sambaekjib first. Then it was just perfect time.

This is Heungnyemun gate which is first gate inside the palace walls at the front.

This is from inside. Love the scene which shows harmony of old things and modern things. I

Geunjeonjeon Hall
This is the symbol of Joseon Dynasty and the kings' workplace. Also the most important ceremonies were conducted at this place such as enthronement ceremonies and new year opening ceremony.

The stone stele is not gravestone. It is the sign of court officials. It contains the rank. Officials stood at the right position and had an audience with the king.

Throne Hall
Its the king's place. To sit this place, many blood was needed like always.
All things have very significant and symbolic meanings.

Heading to the next place. At night opening, there is limited access to the palace.

Gyeonghoeru Pavilion
This is one of the most popular building. The harmony with pond and nature around it is so beautiful. At night, it becomes totally different place. We just stood and enjoyed the view for a while. Then started to take pictures crazy lol.

Beautiful reflection on the water surface.
It made really romantic mood so becomes must-have date course.

Just loved. Definitely visit again.

Exit and wall outside.
Had so great time. Its been really long time since i visited here last time. Feel like i found forgotten beauty. Want to visit here again in the daylight and visit other palace at night.

Oh! I got to know "Deoksugung Palace" has night opening at all times. This palace has western style building which was founded in Korea for the first time. If my foreign friends visit Korea, definitely taking the palace at night!!!
I was 200% satisfied!!!
