This time, i want to introduce Korean hangover soup, 국밥 Gukbab. Gukbab means soup and rice. 삼백집 Sambaekjib is very famous restaurant for beansprout hangover soup in Jeonju city. It becomes must-eat food at Jeonju city tour. I couldnt try because we mis calculated meal time in Jeonju.. So sad.
Food is good, and its been quite old but the main reason why it gets national wide popular is cartoon. 식객, 食客, parasitic houseguest is very famous Korean cartoon by Heo youngman and story about food, finding real good food places, learning food, competing and so on. As i know all restaurants in the cartoon are real so they all got huge fame.
One day i noticed new building in front of Gyengbokgung station. It was Sambaekjib!!! They finally opened seoul branch yeah. So right before Gyeongbokgung night tour, i had dinner at this place with my friend. Perfect match with cold windy weather.
Once you get out of the exit no.4 of Gyengbokgung station, you can see the restaurant.

Basic setting
in the white jar on the left, there is Jangjorim which is boiled beef with soy sauce. But it was salty so i couldn't eat much even though i really like it...
and two different kimchi are served, one is radish and the other is cabbage. should be here with the soup.

It was very neat and delicious. But considering the average price of this menu, 7 or 8 bucks seems quite expensive. But in winter, its quite worth trying, i think. Before or after Gyeongbokgung tour, this can be good place to have a warm meal.
