MANJOK OHYANG JOKBAL 만족오향족발
I heard that there is very well known Jokbal place near my work place.
Jokbal is glazed pigs' feet which might sound little bit gross but it's similar food to Schweins Haxen in Germany. It's also considered as healthy food thanks to sufficient Gelatin in it and much less fat and oil. Also it gives distinctive chewy texture.
Jokbal is one of the most popular night foods in Korea too.
Once you order main menu, Jokbal, they serve basic table setting.
Vegetables and kimchi and pickled radish.
Green pepper and Ssamjang, Korean traditional sauce and cucumber.
Also, this place serves cabbage salad with garlic sauce.
This one is really great with Jokbal, meat.
Dumpling soup! with ddeok, rice cake.
This is their signature basic menu. The burner on the table will keep it warm.
We ordered half and half. Spicy and traditional Jokbal.
The silvery circle on the table is warmer which keeps the food warm.
Just like any other meat cuisine, you can also make Ssam with Jokbal too.
Very common vegetable for Korean Ssam is lettuce, perilla leaf and cabbage.
You can find them in Korean meat places.
This place's meat doesn't smell, which is the most important thing.
If you go poor cooking place, you can understand what i mean.
Soju or Makgeolli, Korean alcohol are good match with it.
This place is definitely on my for foreign friends restaurant list.
Very good place to try Jokbal!
The place is very very crowded and noisy and quite pricey but very delicious.
So if you are trying Jokbal for the first time ever, i highly recommend this place!
It's near Seoul City Hall.
After the dinner, we went to Starbucks for chat.
Finally Starbucks launched Affogato!!
But they serve it with espresso in it. I don't like it.
Very delicious dinner and nice talking with good friend.
Had perfect Friday night :)) Very easy way to get happy.
