바쁜 연말이 지나고 한숨 돌린뒤 드디어 친구들을 만났다.
멀리 이사간 친구를 위해 명동으로 고고! 날이 춥고 명동에서 보니 명동교자가 땡긴다는 친구들. 검색해보니 맛있을 것 같다. 꼭 명동칼국수같아서 나도 찬성!
I had dinner plan with my high school friends finally, after crazy busy end year.
One of the friends moved to other city so we met up at Myeongdong for her.
She wanted to go to the Myeongdong Kyoja due to the cold weather.
i googled the place and menu and that looked good, just like Myeongdong Kalguksu.
명동교자를 와보니 어 왜 처음이지... 여기 와본줄 알았는데...
명동칼국수가 아닌 명동교자가 원조라는 친구들ㅋㅋ 아주 어렸을 때 부터 다녔다고.
메뉴는 굉장히 간단하다! 구는 좁은데 일층만 있는게 아니다. 안이 굉장히 넓고. 오오 사람이 바글바글한 걸 보니 맛집이 맞는듯! 냄새가 허기를 마구마구 자극했다.
Well, i thought i have come this place before but no i didn't.
My friends told me this Myeongdong Kyoja is the original place.
Menu is very simple. The entrance looked quite small but it has second floor as well and the hall is very big. The place was very crowded with people. Smell made me so hungry.
자리에 앉자마자 주문을 종용...
퇴근이 늦어져 5분 정도 늦게 도착하는 친구를 기다리고 싶다고 했더니 먼저 두개 시키고 하나는 나중에 오면 시키시라며;;; 너무 그러셔서 메뉴도 모르고 그냥 칼국수를 두개 시켰다.
주문하고 나서야 메뉴를 봤다. 아 이런거 싫어 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 내 돈주고 먹는데 쫓기듯 먹는거.
Once we had a seat, the waitress forced us to order even before we had chance to look into the menu. One of the friends was coming, so we said that we wanted for her for next 5 mins more. but she told us to order 2 dishes first and then order the last one later. Well, due to her, we ordered two Kalguksu and then i saw the menu. ahhhh i really hate this kind of rush. i pay for the food and service and i have right to enjoy it. ;((
역시나 우려했던대로 주문 하자마자 너무 금방 음식이 나왔다. 냄새 짱!! 완전 맛있어보인다. 친구와 같이 먹고싶은데 면이라 금방 불어터지게 생겼고. 아 얹짢다.
그래도 친구가 금방와서 다행! 여러가지 먹어보고 싶어서 교자와 비빔국수로 시켜서 나눠먹자고 말하려는데 친구가 우리를 보고 자리에 오기도 전에 붙잡아서 또 주문을 종용...
아 이게 명동교자의 유일한 단점^^^
Just like our concern, the food was served so fast. But the smell was so great and looked good. We wanted to eat all together but noodle will get swollen up, ah i was upset.
Luckily, my friend arrived earlier than expected. we were trying various menu but the very same waitress stopped my friend and forced her to order even before she came to the table.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! the only bad thing of this restaurant!!!
칼국수 Kalguksu
국물이 굉장히 진하고 맛있다.
추운 겨울에 정말 딱인 메뉴! 칼국수치고 너무 비싼 가격이지만 맛있으니 또 올게 분명. 주변을 보니 외국인들도 많이 찾는 유명한 집이 맞다. 김치가 마늘맛이 많이 나서 매운편이었지만 진한 칼국수와 잘 어울려서 자꾸 손이가는 걸 멈출 수 없었다. 마늘냄시...
The soup is very deep and rich. delicious!! i think foreigners will like it too.
And it is perfect menu in this cold weather. This place is quite pricey but worth it. i looked around and saw many foreigners. looks like real famous place. Kimchi is quite spicy due to many garlic inside. but it goes well along with deep rich soup and noodle. Couldn't stop my hands. even when i was worried about garlic smell. lol.
비빔국수 Spicy cold noodle
단골인 친구가 비빔국수도 맛있다고 해서 주문! 안먹어봤으면 아쉬웠을뻔.
여름에 꼭 다시 먹으러 와야지. 양념이 많아서 매우려나 했지만 매운 고추맛은 크지 않았다.
교자와 함께 먹으니 최고의 궁합! 자르고 나서 사진을 찍어서 그런지 비주얼이 좀 아쉽..
My friend told me the spicy cold noodle is also great. so we ordered it with Kyoja, dumpling. i would have regretted if we hadn't ordered this one. would come back for this in summer. the sauce was quite a lot but not that spicy. With Kyoja, dumpling, it was so great! should have taken picture before cutting the noodle.

여자 셋이서 칼국수하나 비빔국수하나 교자하나 시켰으면 딱이었을텐데 생각할 시간을 안주고 재촉하셔서 음식을 과하게 시키게된 나머지 너무 남겼다. 자연아 미안해...
Ohhh so great. for three women, one Kalguksu, one spicy cold noodle and one Kyoja would be enough and great. if we had had enough time to think, we would have not ordered this many dishes... thank you, waitress who rushed us... we left some food.

The place is good! i would take my foreign friends here.
Delicious dinner and fun talking with my great friends. So much fun good time!
Sadly, good time passes so fast :,(((
