JEJU island trip #4 이중섭 & 정방폭포

In Jeju Island, there are many historical places. Its because Jeju island was exile place or shelter. During their stay, lots of people left behind their work or trace in Jeju. Among them, i wanted to visit artistic valuable places the most. Lee Jung Seop is one of the most famous artist in Korea and his small museum is located in Jeju so we decided to go. Actually i insisted.

Jeju built some kind of artistic district based on Lee Jung Seop's place. It is called Lee Jung Seop street. He is western style painter. Even Korean people who dont have any interest in art, know his name and his the most famous master piece. His art was affect by Fauvism a lot and he painted cow a lot. i like his art as well.

In this district, there are many cafes and handcraft workshop as well as his house. They are also great fun to look around.

His house, i had nice meditation time there.

His museum. it does not exhibit many works but it was enough to me. His most famous artwork is displayed in copy edition. Want to see his real works in person some day.

After Lee Jung Seop museum, we went to Jeongbang waterfall. one of my sister's recommends as well. it was very refreshing. watching the waterfall, made me get rid of lots of thinking and just admire the nature. the non stopping waterfall attracted me. Before taking lots of selfie, i enjoyed some silent moment.
