DALCOM JJAMBBONG 달콤짬뽕
spicy chinese style noodle
I had short summer vacation but the schedule was not that i planned, to be honest, i didn't even expect summer holiday. So one day, i just took a rest and the next day, my mom and sister and i decided to go to Paju and eat bunch of delicious food. My sister has very close friend who lived in Paju for a long time. We took her advice and start our food journey.
And here we go, Jjambbong was our first stop. It is famous local place and broadcasted couple of times before. We three of us all love spicy food, so we looked forward to it.
Dalcom means sweet in korean language. What an irony! Their main food is very spicy noodle.
Even though it was not lunch or dinner time, there were quite a bit of people.
It was 2 or 3pm if my memory is correct. Sometimes, the number of visitors can be a good indicator to find nice restaurant.
They don't have Jjajang but instant jjajang cup ramen.
After we ate.... so clean ;)))
shell....
We only ordered Jjambbong for 2 people. but it was huge, maybe they aimed visual effect with shallow bowl. But well, it pleased our eyes. A lot of seafood also pleased us.
The noodle!!
You can select the level of spicy. And we could taste fire.
I think this place is best to visit with at least three friends. They have great set menu, which includes Gorgonzola pizza. and Even better is the set menu requires only extra 3$. Isn't it amazing? and the pizza is not low quality at all. Spicy food and sweet food are always great match.
They even serve this little snack and coffee for free.
It was great start! So i revisited this place with my sister. We were greedy, so ordered jjambbong for 2 people and gorgonzola pizza, the set menu. At the end we were too full, so couldn't enjoy the food properly. I really should control the diet. Always feel guilty after eating too much since there are soooooo many people who cannot live due to lack of so many things.. Enjoying delicious food is one of the greatest joys in life, but i just got to think, i should never be too much.
I didnt know the name of this dish is called JJAMBBONG. Been just calling it korean spicy noodles for months now. lol
ReplyDeletehaha, Jjambbong and Jjajang are one of the most common noodles that korean people enjoy. We call this chinese noodles but actually this is not chinese food but chinese style korean noodle. it is also moving day food.
